    The Uses
This is a great product for either a new home construction or for an existing home remodel project.
Use it on the exterior of your home, garage, cabin, barn, shed, etc. or use it on your interior walls for your home, cabin, basement, etc.  Everyone knows the great insulation value that wood can give.   Because of its density it not only keeps your home warm, but it also has great sound-proofing abilities.
How to Figure How Much You Will Need
It takes 1.2 linear feet to cover 1 square foot and the calculation is simple:  If 100 square foot is needed, multiply 100 by 1.2, this will equal 120 - the amount of linear feet needed.  To determine square footage:  Multiply the perimeter measurement by the wall height.
Remember to add some for waste, which will vary from job to job.  Normally figuring 10% for walls and 15% for gables is recommended.  If there are a few windows and doors in the wall, usually you can figure the wall square footage and ignore the windows and doors and this will give you the extra you will need.  Subtract off any large areas such as garage doors and picture windows by figuring out the square foot of each and subtracting this off the total square footage.  For gable ends square footage can be figured easily by multiplying the width at the bottom by the height from the eve or top of the wall up to the peak and divide by 2.  Don't forget to add at least 15% for waste because of the angles.  If there are two gables, skip dividing by 2 and you have both ends.  If you have any questions, please email and I can help figure this out.
