This is a DIY item, so buyer need to do some wood work for proper fit.
This handmade high quality oak tsuka core with ray skin grooves for panel ray skin wrapping will be shipped in 2 separated unglued halves. So there will be no more headache on drilling the holes on the tsuka to match the existing holes of the tang of your sword.
Also for perfect fit, the hole for tang - nakago space of the tsuka is made a little bit smaller than most full tangs of modern made tanto swords. So you may need to get the nakago space adjusted for the perfect fit to the tang of your tanto before getting the 2 halves glued together.
Many mordern made tanto swords selling on eBay are made with low quality and cheap wood tsukas / handles. The weight of our 8 inch strong and tough oak tsuka is about 75g, while the weight of other's cheap wood tanto tsukas is only about 40g.
So by replaceing the cheap wood tsuka of your tanto with our top grade oak tsuka, it will not only getting much better balance to your sword but also give you much better handling and safty to your sword.
