    Pterocarpus dalbergioides
    . A rare species of Padauk. I have been looking for this wood since seeing pictures of furniture made of it at the beginning of my career. I finally came across  2 small boards of it on consignment at one of my dealers, these boards have been sitting around long enough for the color to darken all the way through, I would guess they are at least 50 years old. lots of fine curl/blister/burl figure and striping.
