This is an early Horsman doll, dating back to the 1920s. The back of his neck has the marking

, which stands for H copyright C.
This little baby came well bundled in layers to protect him delicate condition. I partially undressed him so that you can see his condition. The head has probably the worst of it, missing a large chunk of scalp and peeling and cracking all over. There is also a messy repair with one of his arms. One of his legs is fine, but the other one shows the large spring and makes a rattling sound. There are also cracks and crazing on the arms and legs, with one foot missing a chunk. His sleepy eyes work fine. But there is damage to one of his eyelashes.
