We are adopting this policy because we are no longer in the world of Brick & Mortars where an item could be returned to a store for a refund and there were no additional costs involved--We live in a world of rising shipping costs, where sometimes the cost of shipping can be as much or more then the cost of the item.
We are adopting this policy because we sell vintage items;  And because they are used they will have flaws and imperfections. We are stating here that in our descriptions we will sometimes miss something, or the item will have a small flaw that is acceptable to us, but perhaps might bother you. If you can't accept this reality, Ioffe is not the store for you.
We are adopting this policy because of our selling ethic-- We wish to continue to provide for our customers quality vintage items at a reasonable cost, and to do so we work on low profit and high sales volume. Our many multiple item sales and return customers speak to the success of this strategy-- but the easy, no cost return policies being promoted by Ebay are detrimental to keeping our prices reasonable.
We always want all our customers  happy, and always seek reasonable solutions whenever problems arise, but we do not want to be held hostage by return policies that make it more financially feasible to give away our merchandise then pay all the costs associated with a return.
