    Description

Brandt JR Automatic Cashier Coin Bank Cash Register Machine.
This is in good working condition. The coin holder detaches and reattaches. And buttons seem to work.
This cash register is unmolested - original page a - not polished etc.
The Brandt Cashier Coin machines were in use in banks and businesses after their introduction in the early 1900”s. They were invented by W. Brandt., a clerk in a local bank in Watertown, Wi. At that time, weekly pay was given out in cash (.56 a week?). To put the pay together for each employee, the clerk would have to count out the coins several times to insure accuracy. This was very time consuming. He came up with a mechanical machine that would accurately count out the least amount of coins to give the total amount required. The machines were used in banks, stores, movie houses were the amount given was dependent on the key pressed.
