Cindy Fashion Doll by Horsman - produced around 1958
She was a competitor or clone of the Little Miss Revlon fashion dolls. She has the same face and body essentially as the Circle P dolls, Uneeda’s Suzette or Arranbee’s Coty Girl.
This is the petite or small size Cindy that Horsman offered at 10 inches or 25 cm. She has a Vinyl socket head, lady body with swivel waist, high heel feet, jointed at shoulders and hips, blue sleep eyes with molded lashes and expressive painted lashes, blonde saran rooted hair styled in ponytail. Swivel waist works well.
Wearing original cotton dress with a red and white candy-striped skirt and red bodice. Topped by a red velveteen, princess seam coat with black trim and buttons. Coat is perfect for Christmas.
Comes with some extra clothes. Black Neoprene vintage swimsuit or bathing suit - ribbon ties worn. Linen skirt with fringe hem. Shawl with fringed ends - stain and some torn fringe pieces. Gold jacquard cummerbund type obi sash. Lace overlay stretch top - no snaps or hooks.
Doll Marks: Horsman. On the back of her head.
Condition Issues
: Hair is messy and may be cut in places. Red marks from clothing on torso and arm. Coat missing a few stitches at collar. Panty elastic stretched. No shoes. No earrings, dent in chin. Eyes open and close easily but sometimes they operate separately where one will close before the other one. No seam splits and no smells.
