Beautiful Brya ebenus. Also known as Jamaican Green Ebony, very rare and expensive, I have always been curious to add this wood to my pallet,but was nervous about the large financial commitment of buying a whole log. Last year I finally took the plunge and popped for one, the first thing I noticed was the taptone, just tapping the outside of the log on the sapwood rang with an amazing clear rich tone, for this reason I milled lots of guitar bridge blank size pieces. This wood is very dense and hard (jk3720) in both the heartwood and sapwood, fine grain, luster and takes a high polish. Air dried at scale dimensions for one year and ready to work.
