Teac PD-H300 MKIII CD Compact Disc Player Not Working with Remote

This is a Teac PD-H300 MKIII CD Compact Disc Player. A fairly scarce model. Come with Teac RC-1094 remote. From a local estate. Not Working. Read details below before bidding.
Cosmetics-Clean overall with some surface wear in areas. Remote has a few nicks and a deeper scratch on the left side. Operationally it does power up, the CD tray will extend & retract, but it will not start playing. The CD will spin briefly when inserted but then says No Disc on the display. See photos. Then it does nothing else. I took a peek inside and the electronics look clean overall. See last photos. Remote turned it on and off ok. Good for someone who enjoys a project and restoring older audio equipment
